PM SHRI Schools

PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India aimed at nurturing students to become active, productive citizens, fostering an equitable and inclusive society as envisioned in the National Education Policy 2020.

We are proud to announce that KV No. 1 Naval Base Kochi has been selected under the PM SHRI program, with an expected grant of Rs. 4 crores over four years. Following the guidelines, the Vidyalaya has initiated several activities under this esteemed program.
The Scheme had a transformative impact on the infrastructural facility of the Vidyalaya as it has helped in converting many of the regular classrooms into smart classrooms. 12 Desktop Computers were purchased and are being used for imparting digital learning experience to the students. Interactive Panels were also purchased and installed in the classrooms and Primary activity room thereby enhancing the learning experience of the students.
Students are getting benefited from the visual and auditory stimulation, which helps them to achieve the learning outcomes effectively.
The digital resources are being put to optimum use for expanding their learning beyond textbooks, offering up-to-date information and for cultivating 21st century skills. A Robotic and Artificial Intelligence workshop was conducted and Robotic kits were purchased to provide hands-on training on Robotic programming to the students.
To ensure that the students are accessing the technological advances only through safe modes, Cyber Security Awareness classes were also conducted for the students. Parents acknowledged that the steps were the need of the hour and that the students are getting benefited from the aforementioned measures. Another training session was conducted on digital animation and story telling for class X students.
Digital initiatives like CCT battery tests, TARA app, E learning materials etc are being used in the Vidyalaya to achieve the learning objectives.
